POS September 4, 2010 John W. Charlton this thing is the biggest pos i have ever installed into a truck the first one i installed went into protection mode right away without playing a single note while the second one locked up after 5 mins. they are only pishing two alpine type r speakers each should be no problem
It's as cheap as the price. August 18, 2010 Henry Monroig It's as cheap as the price. You get what you pay for, if you have a simple system then you could play with this amp but if you looking to have a good system that make your music move clearly and for a long time then this is not for you at all. I went to a few audio show and people were literally making fun of my because I thought that this amp was going to move my 12" Kickers 1400 watts. They said this amp will move the but it will sound like crap and it won't last for long eventually it will burn out and you'll have to get another one and another one and another one....lol
Broke after first day of use August 18, 2010 S. Heimendinger (Seattle, WA USA) After I finally got around to having this amp installed, I was pleased as punch to having a little bass in my trunk. It sounded decent, for the price, and filled out the low end nicely.
Unfortunately, the success was short-lived. After the first day (and literally less than 4 hours of use) the amp stopped working. I checked to see what had happened and the two 10-amp fuses on the amp were both blown. Perhaps I had the levels turned up too high, so I can claim responsibility for blowing the fuses (even though I'd think the built-in protection circuit would trip before the fuses blew - which it didn't). [Note: I'm using this amp with the Pyle 12" 600W sub, which you'd think would be a tested match].
So, I replaced the two fuses and expected to be back to normal. WRONG. Now when I turn on my radio with the volume on the lowest setting, the amp turns on for a second and then immediately goes into "protection mode" (the green light turns red). This means no sound from the amp. All of my other fuses are in-tact, but for some reason, the amp just won't stay out of protected mode.
Given that it's broken so quickly, I'd say stay away.
Amazing! August 17, 2010 Andrew Mitchell (MOUNT JULIET, TN, US) First I would like to say the one star review below me is absolutely wrong. I have had two 12" subs at 1100 Watts hooked up to this for about 4 months and have had no problems. The bass is incredible, the ease of installation was great, and it is easily hide-able/mountable. It also stays very cool. Another thing I love is the LED that shows its status, and the different settings for it are a plus. It may just have the two 10 amp fuses on the box, but that is BEFORE output, for the dumb one star review. No problems with this amp, I love it love it love it.
didnt last long August 10, 2010 fundip101 I got this a few months ago to find it made m 2 subs hit hard, now it doesnt work, just spend the extra 50$ on a name brand that actuall lasts
