Looks Great! February 23, 2010 Jason Ford (Buff. NY) Item looks great lit up. Not quite the bass i expected but for the price cant complain. You could drown these out with a 600 watt amp.
Great product February 15, 2010 Angel Holloway (Columbia, SC USA) My girlfriend loves her new speakers! She thinks they are great and it works well with the new cd player she just got!The prices can change either way before purchasing so ordering as soon as you can when you see the price that you want is very important!They were exactly what she wanted and I was pleased shipping was great it did not take long and it was in great condition when they came.
Best Subs for Price January 26, 2010 Lanning K. Norberg (South Dakota) These speakers are amazing. I have them hooked up to a BOSS 2000W Amp and they rattle my whole car. The only downside is that they do come in a huge box. I had to fold down the backseat just so they would fit. But I do drive an 84 Camaro. If you had the room these are great speakers. I played the song "Yeah!" by Usher and everyone in my town could hear me when I drove by. The onlly thing I urge is that you have good regular speakers because these are pretty much just bass. I can barely here vocals unless my other speakers are on.
PEAK IS NOT YOUR POWER! January 25, 2010 V S (Milwaukee WI) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
While I admire the sneakiness of the manufacturer, i can assure you as an electrician PEAK MEANS NOTHING!
PEAK is NOT the power you might get in a "spurt", as the dummies in the electronics chain stores tell you. If that were true, then you could make a perpetual energy machine and power the planet with less energy than you provide it with.
RMS times 1.414 = PEAK
Peak times 0.707 = RMS
Watts = volts times amps
RMS is the only measurement of power you're getting. Why? Because PEAK is just the top of the sine wave. You're NOT getting that power all the time, barely an instant: you also have MOST of the crest below that, and one additional crest NEGATIVE SINE. RMS is your usable power, about 2/3 of the crest in an AC sinewave, or what the equivalent of DC power would be for that specific wave.
That being said, I've heard many good things about this cheap little speaker set, and it's probably good enough for someone that just wants more umpfh in their system without breaking the bank. I'm ordering one this week. I plan on replacing the illumination with red and making it sound activated, like the stock system in my car (Go go 2010 Koup SX!).
OMG What a Buy!!!! January 21, 2010 Eric Stevenson (Bowling Green, Ky) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had descent systems in the past. Was wanting to get another system. I wanted a low budget system. I seen these for $150.00 and was unsure of how they would perform. I took a chance and let me tell you I was overwhelmed. I didnt expect the bass the these subs produced when I connected them to my 800 watt cheap sony amp with a electronic crossover. You can not go wrong with these. You do need a crossover, it makes a big difference. the subs has a crossover built into them, but it isnt that good. I have had more expensive subs, these far out performs them. The Blue lights are a great bonus. Trust me if your not for sure and thinking about getting them, do it you will not be disappointed.
